Croc Classic - Kite Foil Series

The annual Croc Classic Kite Foil event will take place in Townsville between the 23rd and 25th of June, 2023.

Our aim is to have some great Kitefoil racing in the sunny weather Townsville has to offer at this time of year! We have six races scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and there is an open racing division, and a freeride gear (Formula X) division.

The event is open to all competitors

Insurance

Participants must carry public liability insurance. To obtain this, please register as a Member of Kiteboarding Australia here.

Format

The event format will be primarily fleet racing. The event is Kite Foil, therefore any equipment may be used for the event

National Kite Foil Series Points

The State Championships are a 100 point contributing event to the National Kite Foil Series. 

The National Kite Series consists of 6 events across Australia including 5 State Championships and the National Championships. The National Championships is a 200 point event. 

New to racing or on freeride equipment?

The event will consist of a Formula X division which encourages participation from new comers and kiters on freeride equipment. Participants will compete on a modifed course to those on dedicated race equipment.

The Organising Authority for this event is Townsville Kite Racing Club
