Kiteboarding INSTRUCTOR COURSE

Join this level 1 Kiteboarding Junior Instructor Training Course (ITC) supported by Kiteboarding Australia, Kiteboarding Western Australia and the Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries.

Dates: 1 & 2 Feb - 8 & 9 Feb 2025

Duration: 4 days

Location: WA Surf/ Safety Bay Yacht Club

Description

The level 1 Junior Kiteboarding Instructor course is a 4-day course. Please note: you must hold a valid Kiteboarding Australia Instructor or Adult/ Junior membership to register.

The instructor course is a unique opportunity to learn new skills, open a new career pathway, improve your own kite level or simply make yourself more comfortable showing mates how to kite. As a Junior Kite Instructor, you are able to teach under the supervision of a KA Senior Instructor. All KA-accredited schools have a Senior Instructor. Once you turn 18, you will not need to complete the course again, however, you will be required to get a KA Senior Instructor to sign off your competency in teaching and then your qualification will roll over to a full KA ITC accreditation. Accreditations are valid for 3 years and can be re-validated before they expire.

The course is fun & interactive; you will get an opportunity to spend time at the beach in real life practical situations as well as spend time learning the critical information needed to teach beginner kiteboarders safely.
