Join the 2024/2025 Australian Wave National Championship in NSW!

Kiteboarding Australia, in conjunction with Kiteboarding NSW Australia and Merimbula Sailboard Club, is excited to be hosting the Wave Nationals in Merimbula as part of the Kiteboarding Australia National Wave Series.

The contest will see some fantastic wave riding at the iconic spot along the Sapphire Coast, Merimbula. The 4-day event will bring together the community from across Australia to battle it out for the Australian Nationals. 

Merimbula is a town loved by many and home to the Raging Bull Surf Merimbula Classic, the oldest kiteboarding event in Australia. The location has many great local accommodation & food locations and there will be plenty of entertainment in the best traditions of this hospitable town. In the lead-up to the event, Kiteboarding Australia will announce a program for evening activities to ensure we will have as much fun off the water as on the water.

In the event of no-wind lay days, there are many other activities, including world-class surfing, other watersports and amazing sights.

• $100 Adults ($103.60 inc. fees) - Nationals Competitor 
• $80 Juniors ($83.20 inc. fees) - Nationals Competitor 
• $50 Social ($52.60 inc. fees) - Fun, Social Competitor 

Non- KA Member (including event insurance licence) 

• $175 Adults ($180.10 inc. fees) - Nationals Competitor 
• $155 Juniors ($158.20 inc. fees) - Nationals Competitor 
• $125 Social ($129.10 inc. fees) - Fun, Social Competitor

• If you are not a Kiteboarding Australia Member, you can still enter the event as an Event Only Member 2024/25. One-day event licence fees which cover you for the whole event are $75 which are included in the registration fee. Sign up for Membership and select the free 2024/25 Event Membership option. This will allow you to log in to your profile and sign up for the event.

Eligibility

• The Kiteboarding Australia Wave Nationals are open to Kiteboarding Australia's current financial members. You must also be an Australian resident or a person who currently holds a long-term Australian visa for three or more consecutive years.
• Please Note: For amateur and social categories, everybody is welcome - regardless of age or residency status. 
• If you are not a Kiteboarding Australia Member, you can still enter the event as an Event Only Member 2024/25. One-day event licence fees which cover you for the whole event are $75 which are included in the registration fee. Sign up for Membership and select the free 2024/25 Event Membership option.
