Join KITE KARNIVAL IN QLD!

Join us on Sunday for some fun Kite Karnival kiting with a social downwinder and an Airstyle Expression Session at CottonTree! 

Get yourself to Point Arkwright to start the downwinder around 2pm, times will be confirmed tomorrow so make sure you sign up for the notifications! The downwinder will finish at CottonTree ready for an Airstyle Expression Session at around 4pm, followed by presentations at Maroochy Surf Club at 7pm.

We’re heading to the Sunshine Coast as the official destination for this season’s Kite Karnival and we’re bringing the Australian Freestyle Nationals with it. Cottontree is where the action’s at, and it’s all going down over the Australia Day long weekend. Get ready for a 4-day action-packed weekend, with the best freestyle kiteboarding in the country taking place at the epic location of the Maroochy River Mouth.

Registrations

Early Bird 

• $110 Full KA Adult Members. 
• $80 Full KA Junior Members. 
• $185 None KA Members, including one-day event insurance licence. 

Valid until 11:59pm Friday 12th December 2025

Full KA Members 

• $130 Adults (excluding fees) - Nationals Competitor 
• $100 Juniors (excluding fees) - Nationals Competitor 
• Juniors are covered under Family Membership or a separate Junior Membership. If you are not a Family Members of KA and need to sign up your child for Junior Membership. 

Non-KA Member (including event insurance licence) 

• • $205 Adults (excluding fees) - Nationals Competitor 
  • $175 Juniors (excluding fees) - Nationals Competitor
  • If you are not a Kiteboarding Australia Member, you can still enter the event as an Event Only Member. One-day event licence fees which cover you for the whole event are $75 which are included in the registration fee. Sign up for Membership and select the free Event Membership option.

Eligibility

• The Kiteboarding Australia Freestyle Nationals are open to Kiteboarding Australia current financial members. You must also be an Australian resident or hold a current long term Australian visa for three or more consecutive years.
• Please Note: For social categories, everybody is welcome - regardless of age or residency status.
