The 2021 Wave Nationals took place at Torquay between the 5-8th of February. 38 rides turned up from around the country to battle it out for the titles. Sunday saw the event located at Jan Juc with a solid 20 knot south wester with a building 4-5ft swell. Action kicked off at 7am which was the start of a big day on the water. By 5pm the competition was run and won.

Jack Bailey was able to clinch his first National Titles in mens after coming 2nd to Jarrod Snow the previous year. Whilst Peri Roberts (currently ranked world number 2) stood tall at the top of the womens podium. In the juniors it was young ripper Patrick Smyth who had travelled all the way across the country from Geraldton, WA who took out the juniors. Patrick was absolutley ripping and we can't wait to see him grow and evolve in the years to come. In the masters it was South Australian's Martyn Bone who showed his master class to take out victory.

A huge thankyou to all the event volunteers, staff, riders & event partners.

The event was proudly supported by Cabrinha, Surf Coast Shire, Sport and Recreation Victoria, Kiteboarding Victoria, North Kiteboarding, Mystic and SHQ Boardsports.
