NO MORE PLASTIC TAGS

Moving towards a more sustainable future

At Kiteboarding Australia, we place high value on protecting our oceans and looking after our local environment, so we continue to work on initiatives to reduce our footprint and enhance awareness in our community. With this in mind, we have decided to make a switch and go all-digital, removing the tags and zip ties when Kiteboarding Australia memberships are renewed.

WHY CHANGE?

Did you know that 6 million tonnes of plastic ends up leaking into our rivers and coasts globally, every year?*

The health of our oceans and environment is extremely important to us at Kiteboarding Australia, and we are committed to reducing waste and educating our community about ways to do so wherever possible. As such, we have made the decision to go digital with our memberships. This means you will no longer receive the plastic tags and zip ties when renewing your membership.

We believe this is just one of the many things that we can do to support our planet and our playgrounds as a united front with our governments, environmental organisations and communities.

YOUR NEW DIGITAL ACCESS CARD

In place of the plastic membership tag, you will now receive a digital access card. The card will show you have valid insurance and your insurance type, e.g. Winging Only, Full Membership, Family Membership, etc.

Due to incredible efforts from our volunteers and colleagues, some beaches that were off-limits to kiteboarders and wingers in the past, are now open for us to practice the sport but are restricted to Kiteboarding Australia members. Our new membership card allows you to display and prove your membership.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY CARD?

It is so quick and simple to access your membership card, and we have put a small checklist together below to help:

Step 1. Access the website www.kiteboardingaus.com.au
Step 2. Login in with your username and password, as usual. Not sure what your details are, search here!

Step 3. You should now see access to your membership card button.

Step 4. Your digital membership will show here, and holds all information you need and allows us to eliminate all tags and zip bags.

Thank you for supporting Kiteboarding Australia with this change towards a more sustainable future as we push towards cleaner, plastic-free oceans.

THANK YOU

If you would like to hear more about your membership, or have any ideas how we can drive our sustainability agenda further, please reach out via contact@kiteboardingaus.com.au
