Senior Instructor, Re-Validation & Coaching Course Launch!

Published Mon 28 Jan 2019

After many months of planning we are excited to announce that Andy Gratwick from the British Kitesurfing Assocation (BKSA) will once again be joining us to launch new aspects to the Kiteboarding Australia curriculum!

Andy first joined us almost three years to the day when Kiteboarding Australia introduced the Level 1 Kiteboarding Instructors qualification. Since then we've had close to 100 instructors complete our courses. We are excited to announce that we will introduce the Senior Instructor Qualification in 3 states this March, also offering a re-validation course for those who have expiring accreditation's and a one-off Coaching Course for advanced coaching skills.

Senior Instructor Course

The Senior ITC is a great course to further your instructing skills and knowledge and equip you with the additional knowledge to equip you with the necessary skills to manage an accredited kite school. The 2-day course will be delivered at the following locations:

Perth - 11th & 12th of March, 2019

Sunshine Coast 16th and 17th of March 2019

Melbourne - 21st and 22nd of March 2019

Re-Validation Course

Additionally for those looking to re-validate their accreditation you can complete a one-day course, the date and locations for these will be:

Perth 13th March, 2019

Sunshine Coast - 15th March, 2019

* Re-validation is required after 3 years of holding a KA qualification. Post re-validation course, you will receive 3 years additional qualification on top of your expiry date. You can view your expiry through the account page on your KA login page or email contact@kiteboardingaus.com.au

Kiteboarding Australia recommends you attend one of these courses if you have an expiry in 2019 to ensure your qualifications are up to date.

Coaching Course

Kiteboarding Australia will also introduce an advanced coaching qualification for those looking to take up coaching with experienced riders, the first course will be delivered on the Sunshine Coast, 18th of March. With the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on the horizon and some excellent Australian based competitions across multiple disciplines there is opportunity for coaches to develop and gain experience in this sub section of our sport.

Spots are limited on all courses and are expected to fill, so we recommend you book quickly.
